Gnorm is back!

Wow! It's been a long time. Gnorm has been tucked away in his knapsack for some time now and was he excited to see daylight. He's been so patient that we thought we'd treat him to a visit to the Islands of Adventure in Universal Studios. Thanks to Bill and Angela, the three of us spent the afternoon walking through this great park. He was like a little kid! Dr. Seuss, Betty Boop, and all the Universal characters made his head spin. But we set him back in time with a visit to Hogmead, the home of Hogwarts.

Gnorm felt so much at home. He was in the midst of everything mystical.

After a quick tromp through the town we took him to meet one of the locals at Jurassic Park.

Gnorm really wasn't too thrilled being chased by Mr. T. Rex. He was shaking in his boots after this close encounter. But, you know what they say... face your fears.... So, we gave Gnorm an up-close-and-personal "meet-n-great" with none other than Mr. T. Rex himself...

Suffice to say, that this was the last straw. Gnorm spent the heat of the afternoon back in his sack!
We didn't argue. But look who Gnorm missed....

We felt so bad that Gnorm missed out on the above little cutie that we treated him to a "suit-up" with some really fast drivers....

Gnorm fit right in with these guys. Although, they couldn't let him drive their cars, his feet wouldn't reach the peddles!

Gnorm's back!

Gnorm felt the "need for speed!"

Gnorm got to come out with us as we headed for the "Petty Experience" at Walt Disney World. Gnorm just about jumped out of his knap sack as we drove into the center field of the track and could hear that sweet engine sound as one of the "rider" cars flew by. We entered the main entrance to the track and were inundated by the genuine feel of racing.
Three of our group signed in and made their way to pick out their racing suits... along with Gnorm! Before I knew it he bolted for the hanging fire suits.

He looked pathetic! He fell off the hanger into the neck of the fire suit only to be held there as everyone looked on!

We felt sorry for Gnorm. We helped him down and tried to tell him that he's just too small for the suit. Undaunted he had a "tantrum" until the only thing we could do was to convince him that he will not fit into the suit!

Sooooo....... we let him suit up with the "big people!"

He finally gave in! He realized this was just one of those experriences he was going to have to "sit on the sidelines."

We got him all calmed down and headed out to the track!

Well, that could have gone better, but Gnorm had another plan hidden up his sleeve. Gnorm jumped up on the helmet rack and made a bee-line for the wall...

Just as he leaned over the wall toward the race car, the pit crew was on him! He was soundly chastized and for his own safety the Petty Pit Crew politely urged us to "keep him locked up!" Gnorm spend the remainder of our visit in his knap sack! ...... But, that's when the adults had their fun on the track!

Gnorm gets "Goofy!"

Gnorm couldn't contain himself! Goofy made Gnorm's day. We took Gnorm to Disney's Hollywood Studios and on our way to the Animation Academy, we had to walk past a host of Disney characters. Gnorm just about jumped out of his bag to get to Goofy. Our class started and Gnorm had to retreat to his portable home. You can bet Gnorm will be looking forward to many more Character "Meet and Greets."
We try to take in the "Block Party Bash" every day at 3:00pm and just before the parade, some of the "locals" give the parade goers a surprise show. Below, "Dora" fell in love with Gnorm. Gee, Gnorm always gets to meet the ladies!!!

News Flash! Gnorm behind bars!

Well, Gnorm finally got himself into some trouble. It was bound to happen sooner or later. First, he's a bit too out spoken and second, you just don't give those in power any grief. We headed for Disney's Tomorrow -Land's "Buzz Lightyear Lazer Blast" attraction and Gnorm threw a hissy-fit. You think a guy would consider who he's dissin'. This time he picked on the "Evil Emperor Zurg!" You can see just how that ended up for Gnorm...

Gnorm hits a couple of parks!

Gnorm headed for Sea World like he knew where he was going. The only surprise for Gnorm was getting through the bag check! I always ask the guards to try and not wake Gnorm up. This time the guard looked at Gnorm, paused and said, "now, why are you carrying a gnome in your bag?" I explained that Gnrom likes to get-around and that he's quite the traveler. The guard proclaimed that's the third strangest thing she had seen in a guest's bag today! Gnorm is such a hit everywhere he goes!!
Entering the park Gnorm couldn't resist checking out the strange pink birds...

Moving on, Gnorm was mesmerized by Shamu's show "Believe."

With all the excitement and fish galore, Gnorm couldn't resist a refreshment while I set his bag down...

Of course, Bill and Buzz didn't help! They encouraged Gnorm!

From there we made tracks for the Magic Kingdom.

Gnorm's train ride was a first for him. As we made our way around the park Gnorm tried to take in all the sites we passed.

Looking out over the entrance to the Magic Kindgom, Gnorm takes a last, long look before we end our day!

Gnorm visits Parkesdale Strawberry Farm!

Gnorm finally got to stretch his legs. Before heading out to enjoy the warmer temps, we thought today might be a good day to introduce Gnorm to one of Florida's seasonal treats... strawberries! We planned a stop at Parkesdale Farms in Plant City before heading to the Florida State Fairgrounds and the "SuperRVshow."

For just under three dollars you can enjoy an enormous strawberry shortcake!

While returning our tray, Gnorm thought he'd get the jump on me and chow down on something I had been looking for for over a year! I was on him in a heartbeat. He didn't have a chance to bring the spoon up to his lips! My fast move nearly cost me my bowl of yummy strawberries, I alsmost knocked Gnorm headfirst into my long awaited treat. I had to promise Gnorm that I'd let him be the "Strawberry King" for the day...

Gnorm had a big "strawberry" to fill but he looked elegant sitting in the "Strawberry Queen's" seat!

Once Gnorm had his fifteen minutes of fame, we all settled down for our long awaited (and highly anticipated) dessert...

Oh, the "SuperRVshow" was good but we'd have to say our stop at Parkesdale Farms was the highlight of the day!

Gnorm has been relaxing!

Gnorm has been kicking back and taking life easy to give us humans a chance to have some fun. Oh, don't fret, Gnorm is usually with us in his backpack but much of our activities he's already participated in. Our last trip to the Parks we had a guest with us who has never met Gnorm. Josie, made it possible for Gnorm to enjoy a front row seat as we floated around in "The Land."

Gnorm was also treated to Florida style "snow!" The only problem was that Gnorm has experience with real snow at his home up north so we couldn't coax him out of his warm knapsack for a photo op!
