Gnorm has been a very good Gnome since we had our "standoff!" He's been patiently (and quietly) waiting in his knapsack since yesterday. He didn't mind that we spent an evening in the Route 66 Casino. He had some rather unusually bright lights to check out in our absence.
We let him wonder what kind of place is this! He never asked us where he was.
So, we hit the road and headed east. Another 288 miles and we stopped at a really nice campground. The Oasis RV Resort. It's clean, nicely laid out and very up-to-date... and it's a Passport America Campground!
We figured we'd take Gnorm out for some air, now that it's cooled down to the mere 80's.

He immediately bolted what he thought would be a "friend." It took me sometime to explain to him that, NO, this is not "R2D2!"
For nearly five minutes he talked to his "friend" until I finally had to remove him from the electric post so that the other campers wouldn't think he was nuts.
Then, I brought him to get up close with something he is familiar with...

He couldn't get over the size of the grass.
Gnorm sure knows his plant life. He spent a long time getting reacquainted with his "garden friends."
We enjoyed letting Gnorm get out for a while and so did he. We're back on track! Gnorm is still a good ole' traveler. He should really enjoy the next 900 plus miles ahead of him! But, we're sure he'll like Nashville when we finally get there!
